Please note some internship abroad placements may need candidates to have completed upper-level courses in the respective area, possess specific set of skills, and/or be capable of demonstrating knowledge. Here is a sample of what urban planning global internships abroad can entail.

Position Description

Explore the field of Urban Planning, where the focus is on designing and shaping the future of our cities and communities. This field is essential for addressing contemporary urban challenges and fostering sustainable growth. Some duties may include but are not limited to:

1. Supporting Data Collection: Contribute to data collection efforts by gathering information on land use, transportation patterns, and community demographics for urban planning projects.

2. Coordinating Public Engagement Materials: Aid in the preparation of public engagement materials by organizing informational brochures, creating presentation slides, and ensuring that documents are ready for community meetings.

3. Participating in Site Visits: Join site visits to urban development areas, taking notes, photographing key locations, and helping to document findings for further analysis.

4. Assisting with Zoning Research: Support zoning research by reviewing local zoning codes, organizing relevant documents, and preparing summaries of regulations for the planning team.

5. Helping with Report Preparation: Contribute to the preparation of urban planning reports by compiling data, proofreading sections, and organizing visual materials like maps and charts.
